Updates

As you know, we almost never do blog posts. I’m still agonizingly close to finishing Humphrey, however, my husband got into a scooter accident the day before Memorial Day and ended up in UM Baltimore Shock Trauma. This is a world-class teaching hospital and the people are wonderful. He’s okay, but needs a lot of care right now.

To complicate matters, for nearly a week, my mom has been in isolation for Covid at her memory care facility.

This is a very difficult and frustrating time for those who have loved ones in care, including hospice. My heart goes out to everyone who is having to deal with these situations. Every hospital has a patient advocate and if you’re dealing with a situation that doesn’t make sense, I can help you find their number and understand your options.

  • I can not figure out how to post separate, Ann. I apologize that my comment is off subject for what you have posted. All of the five major companies have their dna kits on sale this week for Father’s Day. It is the perfect time to buy a kit for yourself …..or even better for a mother, father, grandparent, Uncle, Aunt…..anyone older than oneself who is related. I did a zoom presentation on dna today. I would be very happy to repeat it for anyone who has questions about what to buy. Just contact me directly at mosesm@earthlink.net

PS. My mother is also in a facility. She is very sharp….not memory impaired. It is a very hard time to have loved ones that you can not see. Mom is a direct descendant of Humphrey Hide through his daughter, Sarah, who married Peter Coley
